As many of you know, my Grandma passed away on the first. The night before I went home. I tried to get the money to go as soon as I heard she was on Comfort Care but I couldn't. I would've had it if I hadn't of gotten screwed on my taxes! (You can find that post here)
So Will's parents ended up taking out a loan to give me the rest of the money that I needed, so I could be with my family. They are amazing! I had already bought my plane ticket, in hopes that I would get to say goodbye, when Grandma left us.

| RIP ♥ |
It has been hard on all of us but my mom is shattered. So in order to bring her a little bit of happiness during this devastating time, my cousin Krystal and I kept my plans to go home TOP SECRET! She was the only person who knew about my arrival.
Thursday morning I got to the airport at 6:30. Eight hours and no sleep later, we're landing in beautiful Oregon.
Krinkle, who is more like a sister than a cousin, is waiting for me as I descend the stairs to baggage claim. We squeal, (c'mon guys, we're girls and it's been almost 2 years!) and run to each other for a hug. Of course we just had to take a picture!
As we leave the airport we chat non stop about anything and everything (like girls do) and decide we're gonna stop at the mall by my mom's for a quick lunch. After she finishes eating she puts operation Big Surprise into motion. She calls my mom to see if she's home, she is, so Krinkle tells her that she's in the area and wants to stop by.
When we get there, she goes inside and I sneak up the driveway alongside my mom's van. Like a ninja, I creep alongside the wall and stand next to the open door, just outta sight, so that our "vicious" attack dog doesn't see me.
Then I ring the doorbell, which my mother HATES! I know that she just looked down the hallway to see who it was. I only have to wait about 30 seconds before I see her pop her head out the door. "Hi" I say with a sly smile on my face.
"Oh my god!" followed by screaming and crying is the only thing I hear for the next 10 minutes. Of course I can't move because of the death grip she has me in.
Finally she relinquishes me, but only enough so I can fully come into the house, instead of leaning over the baby gate.
After about 10 more minutes of explanations I go out to get my stuff and she calls EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. in her phone to tell them I'm home. I kid you not, I was on the phone for over an hour with a bunch of different people. Plus saying hi to my sister and then surprising my brother when he got home from school. It was crazy!
Sister & Me
Later that night we also managed to surprise a few of my friends. Mama called Christina and told her that she really needed the support of her "other" children and asked her to bring Nevaeh (my niece) & Buddha (my gay bff) over with her. Krinkle and I made a quick run to the store to get stuff for dinner, and so we can walk in on them.
When we get back to the house there are 2 cars in front of the house, our other friend Teresa, who is also like mom's daughter, came along as well!
We walk into the kitchen, mom has everyone looking at her so they won't see me and I go, "Here's your coffee mom." They all whip around and start freaking out. It was great!
My oldest niece Nevaeh cried for like 20 minutes after she ran up and hugged me. She told Teresa that she never thought she would see me again. It broke my heart into a bazillion pieces. So we had to take a picture together, just her and I.
Mom's house was full for a long time that night and I know she loved every minute of it.

All that excitement and it was just the first day! I have a few more stories from my trip that I plan on sharing, so stay tuned!
*Be prepared for them to be image heavy. I took over 280 pictures! Don't worry, I promise not to post them all. *
